Alpha Blue Kickstarter

Disclosure: I know Venger from G+, and at his request have started working on an adventure primarily intended for his standalone game, Crimson Dragon Slayer (though it would be compatible with other "OSR" games).

Alpha Blue is Venger's latest Kickstarter project, following the success of previous projects like The Outer Presence and How to Game Master like a Fucking Boss

The tagline is, "...an O5R, weird, gonzo, science-fantasy adventure about a brothel in space." In case you aren't sure if that means the adventure will be "for you", he explicitly states that there will be some sex mentioned and described. He then clarifies that it won't be an "all-out DnD porno", and that it will also be lighthearted and silly in some places.

The premise of Alpha Blue (which I learned from the Comments section is that the name is a nod to the adult film Satisfiers of Alpha Blue), is that it was a Federation space station initially used for the study of sexual addiction. Specifically, the hope was to cure patients through "stimulus overload" (ie, lots of sex). When that failed, the station was decommissioned before becoming an essentially city-sized, interstellar whore house.

It's billed as an adventure, but I didn't see any mention of what the adventure is about in the campaign description. It does however state that, given Alpha Blue is the size of a city, there'll be "no shortage of wild escapades, interesting characters, lucrative opportunities, and naked, throbbing pleasures", as well as lots of scenario seeds for planet-side adventures. Inspiration also includes the older Doctor Who series, Star Wars, Ice Pirates, Heavy Metal, Thundarr the Barbarian, Blade Runner, Dune, and other things I haven't heard of.

So if all that piques your, ahem, interest, head on over and back it. $10 gets you the PDF, and it already hit it's initial goal with just over two weeks to go. You can also get custom dice with the Kort'thalis Publishing dragon head (or is it a devil head?), a leather dice pouch, and a couple of the pledge levels let you add a PDF and softcover of another book. With that, I'll leave you with a tantalizing tidbit:

Azura
In this area of the space station, the PCs will encounter Azura.  She's on the run from the nearly bankrupt Xerox Cartel who are desperate to clone her into the hundred-thousands, perhaps even millions, saving the company from financial ruin.  The Xerox Cartel would pay handsomely for the cloning rights.  So, what's the problem?  With the current level of technology available in this quadrant of the universe, the original is destroyed in the cloning process.  Obviously, Azura enjoys being alive - which is why she's hiding out in Alpha Blue.  She's been here for about a month... which is about one week too long.

Physcially, Azura is a gorgeous, young, blonde woman of about 5' 5", wearing a bright-blue spandex bodysuit that accentuates her slender curves and  matches her innocent-looking eyes.  But Azura's virginal eyes don't do her any justice at all.

She's a nymphomaniac!  Every time the adventurers turn around, she's getting it on with someone new - PC, NPC, male, female, transgender, no gender, android, robot, alien... doesn't matter.  Azura can't say no to sex.  She'll do it with anyone at anytime.  Insatiable is one word to describe her.

Because of her stunning good looks, there's a 1 in 6 chance per individual (of that persuasion) to fall head-over-heels in love with her, despite any possible "flaws" she might have.  If one or more of the adventurers fall for Azura, she'll breathlessly request that she be protected from members of the Xerox Cartel and given transport to a far-off planet where the cloning company won't find her.

Even though Azura is a nymphomaniac, there's only a 1 in 20 chance that she'll fall in love with one of her enamored suitors.  Most will be used for a mutually pleasurable good time and then it's on to the next.  However, for that lucky 5%, she'll devote herself to - even sacrificing her life, if need be.  Though, it's questionable whether Azura would be capable of remaining monogamous.
