Virtue Signaling Narcissist Offended By Imaginary Racism (Again, Probably)
In a social media cesspool saturated with unmotivated, attention-starved narcissists regurgitating woke platitudes, slogans, and discourse in a pathetically desperate hustle for Likes, this one has the distinguished honor of warranting some sort of response (moreso than, say, the unsurprising revelation that woke porn "actors" willing to abandon so-called friends are bad and mentally ill):
In the context of a game of imagination (and I must stress, likely in vain, that it is both merely a game and the events that transpire are purely imaginative), Amber is upset that imaginary people are sometimes being "racist" towards other imaginary people. Assuming this actually happened (SJWs love to lie, after all), can you imagine a life so bereft of any challenge or purpose that this genuinely upsets you to any degree?
Before we delve into her thread, let's see just how much of a train wreck Amber is:
Well that was worse than even I was expecting.
In addition to being the self-proclaimed Queen of Dragons (which is about as tiresome as labeling yourself a Gaming Goddess), you also get tabaxi druid and whatever the fuck a fire witch is: wouldn't be surprised if she honestly perceived herself to be a cat-person (she thinks she's sometimes a they, after all), and it's a safe bet she believes the latter.
It's the sort of profile I would expect from an understandably friendless, misguided, moronic teenager. Someone that suffers from many delusions, two of which are that she is special and interesting. She's not, and she knows this on some level, hence the barrage of bullshit titles and labels.
Being retarded and/or deluded enough to think you are neither gender is pretty hilarious (though, perhaps not as much as the inane justifications I've heard), but it takes a special kind of stupid to think you're both a man or woman, and simultaneously neither. Or that you can flip back and forth on a whim.
While I'm concerned for her patients, assuming whoever was dumb enough to hire her in the first place was also dumb enough to entrust her with any, I do take some comfort in that she's apparently relegated herself--by deliberate choice, I'm sure--of merely being a cat/dog "mom" (apparently even if you think you're sometimes no gender, you can always be a mom, even without actual kids).
Note that she doesn't explain why. Which is ironically better then when people like her try, because then you have to sift through a jumbled mire of post-modern, university-grade obscurantism in search of something that vaguely resembles a point.
In any case, a fantasy setting excuses pretty much anything, because it's not real. Maybe Amber doesn't realize this, or perhaps she's so weak-willed that she genuinely believes that with mere exposure to imaginary racism that she will not only begin to harbor racist thoughts--assuming she doesn't already, which I think is likely due to, among many things, the woke-folk orcs-are-blacks rhetoric--but act on them.
I was going to point out that you can murder imaginary people, steal imaginary possessions, and, say, burn down imaginary buildings with no real-life consequences, but then remembered that these are activities that sociopaths like Amber are seemingly okay with both on the table and in real life, so long as you're targeting the "right" people of course.
Again, no explanation. It is of course not "bad form". Shit happens, and the fun part of the game isn't busting tables at fantasy Starbucks or awkward erotic roleplay, but dealing with issues and overcoming challenges. Imaginary racism is also fine, because it's imaginary, and no normal person is going to become racist simply via playing a game where it is present.
If you're too emotionally immature and fragile to handle minor inconveniences, well...I'm sure there's a vapidware story game that would suffice, but you're probably better off with a walking simulator so you don't have to try and, more importantly, no one else has to suffer your presence.
Not that this is anything that needs discussing, even in private, but that's what a mostly normal person would have just done: talked to the DM, instead of going on the internet to whine about a non-issue, make sure her followers know what's up, because she's an obnoxious, imperious, attention-starved narcissist looking for a quick dopamine fix as opposed to some sort of resolution.
Session 0 is for immature cowards, which is why it was unsurprising that it came up several times in the comments. Here are but a few examples:
Both are pronouners, but you knew that already. Surprised that only one thinks he's a chick, though.
Yes, in the context of a game of imagination, we need to think about imaginary people or monsters having "racist" attitudes towards other imaginary people or monsters. That is incredibly important and you need to like Amber's Tweets and praise her for the onerous task of merely signaling her virtue, for parroting the same insipid nonsense that countless other woke retards have done before.
So stunning, yet so brave.
Grumpy Old Grognard is correct, and Amber is a moron for falling back on any of WokeC's skinsuit counterfeits as some sort of authority or defense.
Ah, they've taken a page from the Dollipop debate doctrine: just call someone that disagrees with you gross.
The "shitty take" of using "real world problems" (which I suppose would also include murder, poverty, disease, famine, etc) in a game is no longer acceptable, simply because Amber, Queen of Dragons, declares it so. No need for her to defend her position or provide any sort of explanation (not that she could): just shut up and do as you're told, bigot.
Kilgrom is correct, as the overwhelming majority of people don't suffer from whatever mental maladies plague Amber. They understand that imaginary racism isn't real, and so aren't bothered by it (at least, no away from the table), and aren't going to somehow become real-life racists because of a game, even were their characters not opposed to it.
I like how Info tries to swim in Amber's woke wake, claiming that she stopped playing D&D entirely because of "stuff like this", which apparently means undefined people attempting to somehow "displace" and "harass" her character while throwing popcorn down her shirt.
Not that I believe any of this happened, and I'm guessing Info is really pissed that she never got that sort of recognition, but, what? Does she think people are gullible enough to believe that every group she played with acted like this? Or did she just think that every group would behave in such a manner? Assuming anyone would want to play with her in the first place, that is: she is a pronouner, after all.
It adds a degree of immersion and conflict, which are both great. I'm curious how pants thinks you could have a vistani "tastefully" banned from a settlement. And why do they act like elf games are a way to "tackle" real life issues? Or that the purpose of including imaginary racism is that you're supposed to tackle it?
It's something to maybe occasionally deal with while exploring dungeons to find loot. Without the full context, want to know how a normal player handles this? Give the rest of the party a list of stuff to get and just wait outside. Or sneak in. Or bribe whoever is manning the gate. Use a disguise. Bluff. I feel like there are a lot of ways around this that, unlike throwing a pity-party on Twitter for Likes, would be actually effective.
Amber says "our games", suggesting some sort of ownership or authority, and that's what she wants: for everyone to only play how she wants, even though the imaginary racism makes sense, harms no one, and has absolutely no impact on her. It's solely about control, and the possibility of climaxing from having discovered that someone actually made their game worse by obeying her.
