Red Box Games vs. Redditards
While trying to find an alleged Charlie-Kirk-fans enemies list in a Charlie Kirk megathread for some reason shoehorned into a subreddit supposedly themed around RPGs (still haven’t found it), I stumbled upon this reddit post down a ways (wasn’t sure if the list was elsewhere):
It’s been locked, I think, and while I don’t really go to reddit I feel like I should be surprised that it was.
In any case, it’s essentially a group of hypocritical tribalists butthurt at Tre Manor—not sure if that’s his real name—who is upset at hypocritical tribalists celebrating the murder of someone for the “crime” of bothering to engage in civil debate with, most often, hypocritical tribalists.
I’m certain there is overlap between members of each group, and that many were also some degree of mentally ill and/or retarded.
Now, Tre’s response is completely understandable (and restrained compared to what you’d typically get from the opposition), but any deviation from “the narrative” means you’re some combination of various -ists, -isms, and -ics, however vaguely defined. The upside is that Nazi, facist, racist, sexist, etc have long since become so watered down as to mean at worst nothing, at best a badge of honor.
Another upside is that Tre Manor’s minis are often as good as he is based. I’d initially found his site while desperately searching for a more normal-looking female dwarf mini, and was impressed by the selection of a one-man team as well as the grittier, low-fantasy look:
He also does Kickstarter projects, though I’m not sure how often.
Here’s hoping he keeps at it. I really like the Norse stuff he puts out, and would like to see more elves in that grittier style, as well as some Norse monsters.
