Dungeons & Delvers: Colored Emerald Dragon
Melissa finally got around to coloring that emerald dragon:
This was mostly a proof of concept. Wasn't planning on doing a psionics thing right away, but after Red Book comes out. Still fun to do and happy with how it turned out. Maybe do the ruby dragon, next.
The first issue of The Delver, a magazine featuring fungal-themed content for both players and GMs (including an adventure in which myconids find religion), is available!
Our latest Dungeon World class, The Ranger, is now available.
Dwarven Vault is our sixth 10+ Treasures volume. If you're interested in thirty dwarven magic items (including an eye that lets you shoot lasers) and nearly a dozen new bits of dungeon gear, check it out!
By fan demand, we've mashed all of our 10+ Treasure volumes into one big magic item book, making it cheaper and more convenient to buy in print (which you can now do).

That is gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteThanks man! Melissa does the coloring though: that's aaall her.
DeleteQuite striking... I Like It!
ReplyDelete@Kurt,
DeleteYep, Melissa did a really good job with it. :-D
She colored every bit of crystal by hand: no magic tool or paint bucket to speed things up (I think she tried but it wasn't giving good results).
Yes, I saw all that detail when I zoomed in, really incredible!
DeleteWhat program does she use for coloring in your artwork?
Oh she just uses Photoshop and some special brushes. Since she does all that I have no idea about the specifics: all I know is that we have a few Wacoms so she can also benefit from some brush setting like pen pressure and angle. Things I've also been fiddling with.
